I have seen photos of elephant molars, but never knew about the foot circumference/height ratio. I wish I could have greeted her and touched her with you; thanks for providing the vicarious thrill!

So glad you were able to appreciate it Scilla.
It was an amazing first experience of elephants… and there were so many more to come.

I too was fascinated by the foot/height ratio. Wonder if this works for people
Looking forward to hearing more about your trip as the blog unfolds

It has to be seen to fully believed doesn’t it! And, even once you’ve seen it, your brain struggles to accept it.

Thanks Sheila
But I’m hoping it conveys the joy of the day and the wonderful personality of the great Raj Kali. She really is an amazing animal.
It was rather rushed and all I see and hear are the errors – my husband was pushing for my company on a Friday night

I never would have thought that (just) twice around the foot could = his height. That’s interesting.
